MARCH AIR CADETS GAIN THEIR WINGS 

During the half term holidays two cadets from 1220 (March) Squadron attended 611 Volunteer Gliding Squadron at Watton to take part in a gliding scholarship course. The course enables cadets the learn the basics of non-powered  flight by working through a written and practical syllabus. 

With a week of fantastic weather both cadet Flight Sergeant Alexa Ferguson and Corporal Alex Ogden we able to complete the course and fly solo, earning them the coveted silver wings.

Their success follows soon after that of Corporal Simon Foster who gained his blue wings the previous month.

Five cadets from the March squadron have gained their wings this year which is a great achievement.
